New York Weddings
Can I be real? In the past, I use to avoid getting booked for New York weddings. The traffic gets me irritated and parking messes with my anxiety. There’s a traffic light or stop sign every 4 seconds and people cross the street like they’re invincible lol. I have to say, the love for my couples has really made me not care about it. The irritation and anxiety hasn’t stopped but knowing what’s at the end of the tunnel literally makes it all worth it.
Jahleel + Leotha’s wedding was nothing surprising to me. They came correct and their engagement photoshoot so I only expected the same or better for their wedding. I mean they are from New York AND they’re Caribbean. Have you been to any New York Caribbean weddings? Their wedding could have only gone one or two ways haha. If you know, you know lol.
The W Loft
I felt really prepared going into their wedding. I did their engagement photoshoot at The W Loft and I photographed another beautiful couple there a few weeks prior (Check out Kirrah + Manny’s Blog). The slight difference was my earlier couple had rain so their ceremony was inside. Jahleel + Leotha were blessed with a dry day. It was slightly cold but I’ll take cloudy cold over too much sun (my photographers know what I’m talkin’ bout lol).
Their setup was beautiful and the arch down the aisle was my favorite. It reminded me of my style a little. It had sprinkles of simplicity but it rained elegance. The grooms tux and bride’s dress was also dope and really complimented their style. I must say though, they really turned things on us with their outfit change lol. All in all, their wedding was lit, jam jam flash flash lmbooo. I’m corny I know lol.
